• How long does it take for my unit to work?
  On initial operation, it will take some time (as much as 5 minutes) while the unit goes through set-up and SAT acquisition. Be sure you have clear access to sky (not inside a building) and no large obstacles can obstruct access. If unit does not immediately recognize your location, be sure you are not “off-road”. Many shopping mall parking lots are not mapped and you will need to get to a recognized thoroughfare. You can also reset your location by using the settings functions.
  
  
• Can I update or add maps?
  The GD-075 comes preloaded with the latest NAVTEQ® versions of Canada Maps. As these are loaded directly onto the unit, there is insufficient room to add maps.
  
  
• What is the operating temperature range?
  The operating temperature range is –10C to 55C. If you plan on storing the unit for an extended period, please do so within 0C to 25C. We always recommend removing the unit from the vehicle to avoid theft and damage to your vehicle.
